International Business Association 

Who we are and what we do:

The International Business Association’s focus is three-fold. We aim to provide all business students at Capilano College School of Business the opportunity to build global networks though academic, social and professional activities. We intend to reach all students with social activities that enhance their international experience as well as providing a forum for international students to meet local students and vice versa.

Academically, we aim to build a global perspective for all students by introducing key note speakers and inviting special guests within the industry.  Professionally, we aim to broaden all students’ global network by giving students’ the opportunity to create connections.  

Specifically, our Association is actively involved in the Study Abroad program. We provide assistance to all students who are curious about the exceptional opportunities to study abroad. We also have first hand experience in studying abroad and as such we are able to provide assistance in some areas: visas, application processes, budgets and general experiences. For exchange students, we aim to connect them with Canadian students and the total Canadian experience.

Finally, for students that are not able to go abroad, we give them the opportunity to meet many international students that study here through organized events (such as hockey games, sight seeing, sporting activities, etc.)
